Hey, I know how you feel: you feel unmotivated, you feel stuck, you feel like you’re in a rut. You know what, I feel the same. In this video, let’s get our life together. Let’s go! So as you know, my room is in a mess. And we all know that a messy room is an exact representation of a disorganized and messy mental state. And a lot of the time it may contribute to the feeling of being stuck.
So I would suggest the first thing you should do is to clean and organize your physical space, as it will also tidy up your mind, trust me 🙂 So I have this weird satisfaction and pleasure when I clean. It’d be like this: I made a mess, it looked absolutely horrible, and then I would be like: “Ughhh it looks so messy, I dont want to do it”, and I keep postponing cleaning for several days; but once I start to clean even just a small area, I would have to keep going and clean the whole freaking house.

You’re not alone
I think that, you know, you’re not the only one who feel this way. Everyone experiences ruts, or periods of time where they don’t feel like they’re doing enough, they don’t feel like what they’re doing is meaningful, they don’t like who they are or they’re living the same day, day in and day out. So just remember that you’re not the only one, everyone goes through this and you’ll get through this sooner or later.
I understand that when you are down and demotivated, it can feel like everyone around you is progressing and you’re just waiting on the sidelines, but it’s simply not the case. It’s human nature to get demotivated sometimes, it’s unrealistic to be motivated all the time, you know? So it’s okay. I believe in you, we’ll get through this together. So after cleaning my whole apartment, I sat down and wrote on my journal.
I think that if you can’t seem to put your finger on what’s exactly making you unhappy, consider keeping a journal or simply writing or typing something about whatever comes to your mind. It doesn’t have to be very elaborate or time-consuming. It can be as short as 2-3 sentences or as long as you want. It will actually help you identify why you’re feeling a certain way and what you can do about it. So now all of our spaces are clean and I feel so much better.
This is the time to get real work done. You know what I’m talking about, you know this. If you have been procrastinating on something. This is the time to get it done! Earlier in my journal, I think I wrote something like I was feeling like sh*t, I was feeling inadequate because I spent way too much time mindlessly scrolling on social media again, and it affects my mood and self-worth really negatively, so that’s one of the reasons why I haven’t been on YouTube or Instagram for the past 2 weeks, and how I really wanted to get out of that rut and feel productive again.
So this time, the thing I’ve been procrastinating on is writing articles, because I have finished filming for 2 articles and have all the footage, but I haven’t started to edit anything. So here we go 🙂 So I’ve been editing for a while and I think I kinda need a break. SO I change to my yoga clothes and I’m just gonna do some yoga, some good old yoga 🙂 So that was my quick 15 minute break.now, I’m just gonna go back to editing.
It still blows my mind to this day how long it takes and how much effort article writing requires. Since starting out with blog, I had a newfound respect for content creators, because they do put tons of work into creating a piece of content that maybe only a few minutes long. I hope I can get better at editing, so if you have any feedback on how I can improve my article quality, let me know in the comment, I really appreciate it! So now I’m just gonna go for a run. I cannot stress the importance of physical activities enough. Whenever I feel stressed out, I always go for a run, and it just helps clear my mind like nothing else.
It’s like a little escape that, you know, when I run, I don’t think about anything, and I can just forget about the problems that I’m having. It just feels so good to breath in the fresh air and enjoy the nature. So let’s go! So I just came back from running and I already felt so much better. When I was running, I was thinking of this and I think that it would be helpful to mention it in this article: So I want you to not be too hard on yourself, and what I mean by that is: Being stuck in a rut happens to everyone. It happens to the best of us. So don’t beat yourself up for not being super productive as you would like, or not getting as much done in the day.
It’s okay, like it happens, right? Changing your routine and trying to get out of a funk is hard, so give yourself credits for even trying in the first place. Because a lot of people don’t even know that they’re stuck and they just stay in that same place, so give yourself credits for even trying, for even acknowledging that you’re in a rut in the first place. Focus on making progress and don’t give up. I think that’s everything I want to talk about in this article. I hope you enjoyed it.
